Proposed SideWalkâs & Street Repair on (Webercrest Road):
The proposed sidewalks along Webercrest Road are essential due to the district's growing population and the development of new homes. Many students are currently forced to walk in the street, posing significant safety concerns. A total of 4,282.35 feet (1.31 km) of new sidewalks is needed along Webercrest Road, excluding the 386.32 feet (117.75 m) of sidewalk that has already been installed. Additionally, road repairs are necessary for the entire length of Webercrest Road to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and drivers. Two schools that would greatly benefit from these infrastructure improvements are International Leadership of Texas, Orem K-8, located south of Webercrest Road on W. Orem, and Albert Thomas Middle School, situated north at the end of Webercrest Road. These schools have many students who walk to and from school, and proper sidewalks would significantly improve their safety and accessibility.
